National Junior Honor Society Induction
The newest members of the Cathey NJHS will be inducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008 in the Cathey Cafeteria. Congratulations to all of this year's candidates.
Multi-Cultural Fair
The Cathey MS IB learning community will be sponsoring a Multi-Cultural Fair on Monday, May 26, 2008. The fair is a celebration of the diversity of cultures within our student population. Regional exhibits of cultural booths with food items, costumes, decorations, etc., will be available for students to experience the customs and traditions of different regions from around the world.
The Cultural Fair committee is asking parents for any help, such as volunteering time, providing food items, donations, souvenirs, etc., towards their child's cultural heritage. We greatly appreciate any help you can give us.

Each of us has different talents, different dreams and different destinations yet we all have the power to make a new tomorrow. Dr. Rodney D. Cathey Middle School is pleased to announce that our principal, Dr. Jose A. Gonzalez, Ed.D. was awarded a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Pan American this Spring.
