 Support our PTO
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Dr. Rodney D. Cathey Middle School plays a vital role in the success of our school. Over the years, our PTO has provided:
- Shade canopies for our courtyard and practice field.
- A chain-link fence to surround our practice fields.
- An new electrical marquee/refurbished our old marquee
- A state of the art computer server for our student computer labs
- A storage shed for our Athletic and Physical Education Department
- Monetary donations for countless projects
- Lunch to our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, and
- Interactive Smart Boards for our Math Department
This year our PTO is hosting a “Spring 4 a Break” Field Day in an attempt to raise as much money as possible. GT Applications for the 2010 - 2011 School Year are now available
Any current 6th or 7th grade student who would like to test for the Gifted and Talented Program for next school year, may pick up an application from the front counseling office.
Applications must be returned no later than February 12, 2010

Just for the Kids has selected Cathey Middle School as a 2008 Just for the Kids Higher Performing School inTexas based on our performance in Mathematics.
